Announcements: Week of 6/7/10

IMPORTANT!  10th & 11th Grade Course Selections This Week (next year's Upper House)
Selection sheets for fall UH courses will be distributed during advisory this week to all 10th & 11th grade students.  Students will need to fill out the course selection sheet and an electronic version on Naviance.  Students must get their parents' signature and submit the completed form by Monday, June 14th.  Any forms received after the deadline will go to the bottom of the stack.  Please keep in mind the selections are not a choice, but rather a preference. The programmers will do their best, but please understand that due to the current financial situation and a few other variables, students may not be getting their top ranked classes. Please speak to your advisor if you have any questions.

MHS Annual Field Day:  Friday, June 11th

All students should be in their advisory room at 8:30 a.m. Friday morning. Students will walk with their advisory three blocks to the ferry and take a ten minute ferry ride to Governor's Island. Students must bring a liter of water, a bag lunch and sunscreen and/or appropriate clothing for playing games outside most of the day. The school cafeteria will provide bag lunches for those who need them. We will  return on the 2:30 ferry and dismiss from the ferry station. Field day is a tradition at MHS and is a great way for students and staff to celebrate our hard work during the year with fun and games. Please contact Aaron Silverman or Corey Pickering if you have questions of concerns.

Help MHS Win Grants from Pepsi

The voting has begun!  MHS is in the running for two grants from Pepsi. The grants are won solely on the number of votes they receive during the month of June so it is important that we get as many people voting as possible. One grant is for SGE and the other is for the College Office for a total of $75,000.  In order to vote you have to create a username and password as well as fill out a short profile on the Pepsi Refresh Everything website. You can create as many UNs and PWs as you have email addresses to maximize your voting and you can vote once each day. You can find them at the links below:
