As you know, we are in the running for two grants from Pepsi until the end of June and WE COULD REALLY USE THESE GRANTS. Join the CB5 Youth Council
Community Board 5 (www.cb5.org) is recruiting teen-agers for a Youth Council, a shadow organization to the Community Board. The Youth Council members will choose the issues they want to focus on. In the past, Youth Councils have presented their opinions on gun violence to elected officials; others have gone door-to-door to inform residents of their tenants' rights. While our school is not in the district of CB5, some of our students might reside there. And of course, those who don't live in CB 5 yet are interested in the Youth Council, would be warmly welcomed too.
